What Happened to Hemp Industry?

Some of you may like to know about CBD and some may not. The majority of the world believes CBD is a drug that makes them high. The perception of CBD has been planted by Oil-producing large companies by pumping huge amounts of money to the governing bodies across the globe somewhere from the mid-1950s. It’s just because all the things done by oils can be done by Hemp too. However, let’s clarify what it is and how important CBD is to all humans.

Difference between CBD & THC

Both cannabis and hemp are derived from the species Cannabis sativa and contain the psychoactive component tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), they are distinct strains with unique phytochemicals compositions and uses. Hemp has lower concentrations of THC (0.3>) and higher concentrations of cannabidiol (CBD), which decreases or eliminates its psychoactive effects.

CBD: Cannabidiol

THC: Tetrahydrocannabinol

The legalization of cannabis and marijuana products in more and more places means that you’re likely hearing a lot more about them. CBD and THC are the two most talked about natural chemicals.

There are around 100 different cannabinoids found in cannabis, which is why it’s known as the “cannabis plant.” Cannabis contains more than a hundred of these toxins. Your body experiences drug-like effects as a result.

The molecular formula for CBD and THC is identical: 21 carbon atoms, 30 hydrogen atoms, and two oxygen atoms. The atoms are organized differently, which makes all the difference. CBD and THC have different chemical qualities, and they have different effects on your body.

There are receptors in your brain that release neurotransmitters and both CBD and THC work with them. Pain, mood, sleep, and memory can all be affected by them.

How THC Affects Human Body-Medical Benefits

Everything from arthritis and Crohn’s disease to type 2 diabetes and multiple sclerosis can benefit from the use of CBD products. As well as reducing stress and anxiety, it’s also said to help with chronic pain and insomnia. We have seen very little evidence that CBD aids any of these conditions to date.

One CBD-based medicine has been authorized by the FDA. Epidiolex is a drug used to treat a variety of severe forms of epilepsy in children.

Researchers are interested in CBD. More than 160 clinical trials containing CBD are either active or recruiting, according to the National Institutes of Health clinical trials database.

As part of medical marijuana, THC can help alleviate symptoms such as:

• Multiple sclerosis pain
• Nerve pain
• Parkinson’s disease tremors
• Nausea
• Glaucoma

Side Effects of THC

THC can cause:
• Problems with concentration
• Dizziness
• Vomiting
• Drowsiness
• Balance
• Memory loss

All these side effects arise mainly from using excessive dosage. Know your limits and use them. I humbly request from you to use them when you want to relax and enjoy your life but not recommend them for everyday use. This is my personal opinion and it’s all up to you.

What’s Legal?

Cannabis regulations are always evolving. Medical marijuana contains THC, which is permitted in many states, but federal law still prohibits it. Several states have legalized THC-rich marijuana for personal consumption. However, it is also prohibited in the United States.

Legislation enacted by Congress in December 2018 made hemp legal for the first time. However, there are still restrictions on where and how CBD products can be sold. For instance, you can’t sell some beyond state boundaries. If CBD products are sold with the claim of medical advantages, they are all illegal.

Before purchasing goods containing CBD or THC, check the legislation in your state or country.

Where You Can Buy CBD Products

If you are interested to use CBD products, visit the Just CBD website. It is based in London. If you purchase any products from them by clicking on the above link, I’ll get a small portion out of it. It helps me to maintain this site even in a small way. Even if you are not doing so, that’s fine and totally understand. It’s your decision and I do not believe everyone reading this article is buying CBD products. In my country, CBD and its products are still prohibited and illegal. However, once in a while I too have a local cannabis pod to relax.
